If the environment ever needed to be rebuilt could it be returned to the original configuration ? (e.g. DR)

When the environment was first commissioned did it accurately follow the original design documentation or (as in most cases) did things get changed as part of the implementation phase ?

As part of troubleshooting an issue, settings are changed to determine/fix the issues. A record of original settings is not held which could impact other functions or fail to determine the real issue.

The policy / job configuration can easily be changed and modified, if these changes start to miss backup windows you may want to look back to how it used to be configured.
