Esdebe Consultancy has worked on many projects where the key requirements have been resilience, reliability and availability a few of our installations are listed below to give an example of the typical configuration.

Esdebe designed and implemented a HA DR solution based on Symantec CFSHA to provide high availability for a large Energy Company in the UK, the solution consisted of 13 CFSHA/DR clusters over 45 nodes, and over 150 windows single node clusters that were used to allow the 13 CFSHA cluster to start applications using the Remote Group agent. The solution also involved the migration of data from LVM/JFS2 to VXVM/VXFS.

Esdebe designed and implemented a HA solution based on Symantec SFHA for a Police Authority, the solution ensures that the Police Authorities critical oracle databases remain highly available.

A local council required a highly available and resilient solution for its Social Services databases. Esdebe Consultancy designed and implemented a solution, which consisted of two Sun Servers, clustered together across remote sites, with data being replicated (using mirroring over fibre) between the two sites. The servers then used Veritas Cluster Server to monitor and manage the fail over of the Oracle application in the event that any one or combinations of resources were lost at the primary site.

Esdebe Consultancy also delivered a solution for a company in the leisure industry. This was to design and configure a solution to protect the data on a windows server. We installed Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Volume Replicator to transfer data over the WAN to a remote site. The Primary data source was a MSCS cluster running SQL, and the remote server was a single Windows server.

We have also, assisted a web housing company in checking and documenting the configuration of a Veritas Cluster solution that they were going to be managing on behalf of one of their clients, who no longer employed the engineers that initially set up and configured the servers. This service also included assisting in migrating the cluster with multiple subnets to a completely different subnet infrastructure.
